Ski Heil!

Hello everybody,

Last weekend was one of the best weekends since long. Why? Because I had the possibility to go skiing and everybody who knows me should know how much I enjoy every kind of winter sport. It was an international student trip and we started our journey to Whistler with three busses and over 150 exited students. On Friday was just relaxing in the hotel and ski and cloth rental on the schedule. But first we had to get to Whistler.

After getting of from the Ferry  (I got really used to the Ferry system since I live on an island) it took us around three more ours to get to Whistler. It was a winding way and some started feeling like throwing up. But it was totally worth it.We passed dribbling waterfalls and deep canyons.
In Whistler was only a tiny bit of snow left.
On Saturday it was quite cloudy but our Ski instructor took us up to the 7th heaven and we skid beyond the clouds under the blue sky. The view is more than awesome - it's incredible.
After spending the first day on the Black Comb we went to the real Whistler on Sunday via gondola. It is the highest and longest gondola without a stake in between. This fact doesn't really make you feel save, but I survived. The weather couldn't be better that day (OK it was too cold for me (-8°)) and heading down the run with the five Olympic Rings in sight makes you feel like a Olympic Victor.
My group (Advanced) just included German Girls (except from AJ our ski instructor). The answer why we have all been German is easy: If you're from Mexico, Brazil or Asia it's not easy to find a place to ski. For some was it the very first time to see snow at all.

Saturday evening we enjoyed dinner in a very fancy restaurant: Mobogonie Grill. You get a bowl and help yourself on a buffet to all the ingredients you want in your noodles. Then you mix your sauce and give it to the cooks to prepare it for you. And taadaa:
Mine turned out great!

All in all it was an awesome weekend but honestly I already miss skiing and two days was just to short for me.

I arrived save in Victoria but got a little cold. No reason to worry about (--> Mom :D)

Best greetings

Elena :)

Welcome to the States

Hello everybody,

last weekend i went to Seattle with the international Student Program. It was an amazing Trip, even if it´s not easy to get into the States. At the boarder we had to put everything out of the bus.We weren´t alloud to bring any kind of fruits, vegetables or meat across the boarder. After everybody survived the security chack we arrived in a shoppingmall and spent the Rest of the day there.
On the next morning we heated to the heart of Seattle - the Space Needle. We enjoyed a wonderful view over the city even if the weather was cloudy these days.

,
Our next stop was at the Farmers Market. It is a popular and busy place. You can buy there crafts, selfmade things, food and much more. When you pass the different shops you will very hungry, because it smells incredible good!

Next to the Market, on Pikes Place is the first Starbucks ever. We had to stay in line for 20 minutes, but i mean how often can you get a drink from the first Starbucks? And my Caramal Apple Spice was totally worth it (it´s my favorite Starbucks drink).

Another highlight i was the bubble gum wall. How you can tell on the pictures it looks totally impressive and fancy that everybody puts their bubble gum on it but honestly it is a little bit grows for me and it doesn´t smell good. Nevertheless i left my own bubblegum there. It is a green one ;)

Best Greetings Elena ♥

P.S. We got our first centimeter of snow on the first Advent :)
